actalert.exe (MoneyTree Dialer)This program has not been seen on any systems tested at PC Pitstop in the past week. PC Pitstop Analysisactalert.exe - Downloads premium-rate dialers, generally for porn sites. Also known as InternetOptimizer. The sofware allows any web page to run arbitrary code on the system. Loaded by ActiveX drive-by downloads in pages operated by mtree (domains such as mtreexxx.nl), which are often redirected to by pop-up advertisements and misspelled domains. May also use direct EXE file downloads to distribute the same dialers. Recommendation
actalert.exe is spyware/adware. PC Pitstop recommends strongly that all adware and spyware be immediately removed.
